Our Students - Room 9 - Mrs Douglas

Welcome to Room 9

Year 2's Rule!

In Room 9 we love challenges. Like the School Song says, 'we strive for excellence, to build our minds and resilience.'

Students are expected to; try their best, show respect, be kind, be prepared, be sensible and safe.

You will often find us reading books, writing stories, comparing whiteboards, typing and playing games. You might even spot us in the garden or cooking up a storm.

It has been a pleasure to learn more about the traditional owners of this country and to learn a new Banjima word each week.

Some of our regular school programs include Stepping Stones (maths), Talk for Writing, CARS and STARS (comprehension and Reading Strategies and Strategies to Strategies to Achieve Reading Sucess), Protective Behaviours. Students also participate in specialist subjects such as Art, Technology, Health, Science and Sport.

The amazing Mrs Newman is a regular attender in our class and is always willing to lend a hand.

See you around,

Esther Douglas and the students of Room 9
