Room 8 Maths
Room 8 Year 2 have the privilege of visiting the Year 5 class last week who had set up a variety of shops for us to practice our money calculation skills. We all started with a bag of money to spend as we visited the different shops. We practiced calculating how much money our items were altogether that we wanted to buy. Some of us also challenged ourselves to figure out the change we would receive. It was fun spending our money until we realised, we had none left! Mrs Crilly set up a 'Cash Converters' where we could sell items back to her so we could keep shopping. Thanks Room 2

Dear Families
Thank you
What a week it has been. From all our staff, a big thank you for acting so quickly on Wednesday and ensuring all of your children were picked up safely. We hope that your homes faired well and that life is getting back to normal! The community spirit of this wonderful community has shone through. We were lucky at North, and we suffered minimal damage to our Kindergarten and Pre-Primary Rooms. The contractors and volunteers acted quickly to ensure our safe return to school today.
Graduation
Next week we are very excited to be celebrating the Graduation of our Year 6 2024 class. The teachers and support staff, alongside parents have been busy making arrangements, and I look forward to experiencing my first North Tom Price Primary School Graduation.
2025 School Year
At the other end of the school, we have had our Kindergarten students for 2025 experience the wonderful Mrs Emmily Deering. We had an exceptional turn out at our kindergarten night, and we are very excited to be welcoming new families as well as siblings in 2025.
It is the time of year, that we are focusing on appointing our staff for 2025 and starting to allocate proposed class lists. We have approximately 270 enrolments for next year and we have allocated staff to classes, at this stage we are fully staffed for the coming school year. This of course may change as unexpected things occur in work and in life, that can impact on this.

If you have any specific considerations for the placement of your child based on their academic, social and emotion well-being I ask that you email these needs to me, Nicole.Hill@education.wa.edu.au so that we can consider these when creating classes for 2025. Please be advised that at the end of the day, we will make the final and best decisions about the placement of your child based on our knowledge of all of the students at North Tom Price Primary School.
If you have any queries about what we do at the school, please let me know either in person, or by email on nicole.hill@education.wa.edu.au
