Open Night - 24 October 2024
On Thursday 24 October 2024 North Tom Price Primary hosted Open Night for parents to come and see all their children's amazing work they have been doing throughout the year. It was a lovely night had by all, with the NTPPS P&C putting on dinner and the year 6's with a bake sale. Thank you to all the parents that came to school and also for supporting NTPPS's Book Fair, it was a huge success.
Year 6 camp - Perth 2024
Last week the year 6’s went to Perth and participated in some amazing activities. First, we went ten pin bowling and had an amazing dinner, the next day we went to the zoo and finished our night off with popcorn and a movie. On Wednesday we had a tour at Optus Stadium and then we went to 2 very interesting museums. Later that night, we went for a spooky tour around Fremantle Prison. Thursday, we went to Aqwa where we saw some beautiful sea animals and had a nice relaxing lunch. After that we went to Scitech, and later that night we went to Grill’d and where we saw some old friends Ms Burke and Mr Wotherspoon and we all had a beautiful dinner together. The next day we packed our belongings and had an educational tour around Parliament House where we had a treasure hunt, after that we went for a nice lunch together one last time to wrap up our camp. Finally, we drove to the airport and had a wonderful flight home. Year 6 camp was the best!!

Principal Report
I hope all families had a relaxing holiday and we’re able to spend some quality time together. It’s hard to believe that is week 3 of term 4 already!
This week we have our annual Open Night. This is an opportunity for parents to come into the classrooms and look at their child’s amazing work. Dinner is also sorted with meals prepared by the P & C and a bake sale organised by the Year 6 students and parents. Please complete the survey while you’re in your child’s classroom as your feedback helps to shape the direction of our school.
Friday 25th October is World Teacher’s Day. Teacher’s do an amazing job shaping the minds of our younger generation. Take a minute to show your appreciation and thank a teacher for the tireless work that they do every day.
As our staff are busy preparing for the remainder of 2024, in the office we are preparing for 2025. We are open to any class requests that you have for your child, whether it be classroom, teacher or friendship requests. All requests will be considered but cannot be guaranteed as the placement of our classes depends on student needs and teacher availability. If you have a request, or if your child is not returning to NTPPS in 2025, can you please email NorthTomPricePS@education.wa.edu.au by 15th November 2024 so that we can finalise our classes by the end of the school year.
Please refer to the attached letter regarding the changes to our semester 2 reports, specifically the comments provided.
This will be my last principal’s report as we have a new principal Nicole Hill, commencing at our school on Monday 4th November. In week 5 I will be leaving NTPPS to go and live at my property in Bridgetown, while starting a new appointment at Nannup District High School. Thank you to all our families for showing me such kindness and for entrusting your children in my care. All the students will be missed immensely.
If you have any queries about what we do at the school, please let me know either in person, or by email on fiona.lister@education.wa.edu.au
Kind regards,
Fiona Lister
